Hawks re-sign Tim Coenraad

The Illawarra Hawks have announced the re-signing of one-club man Tim Coenraad for the 2017/18 NBL season.

After another consistent year, culminating in solid offensive production during the post-season, the inclusion is a big plus for the Hawks, with Coenraad bringing a wealth of experience to the program both on and off the court.

Glad to see him back with the Hawks again, but curious that it took so long and also that again it was just a one year deal when others got multiple years last season... It's not like he's Kev White or anything, he's actually a pretty decent player and they could do a LOT worse than locking him in for a couple of seasons...

Maybe it's just to help shuffle the cap space around and they know he's nto likely to go elsewhere so they use that to their advantage?

If there are new teams coming in after this year, any sane player would be signing for a single year unless the financial incentive was there to lock in.
