Terrance Ferguson still waiting FIBA clearance

According to a spokesperson for the Thunder, all players coming from overseas organizations dictated by FIBA are automatically required to receive a clearance letter from FIBA in order to pursue basketball elsewhere. Unfortunately for Ferguson and more importantly the Thunder, he has yet to be issued the letter and is forbidden to play until then.

Both Ferguson and the Thunder have received no insight into when he will be granted his permission via letter, but it could take a while. The Summer League only extends into Thursday, and it would be a very bad hit for Oklahoma City not to see any gameplay from him until pre-season.

I wonder why its taking so long. He left Adelaide what, 3 months ago?

As I asked before do Adelaide get any money or had an expectation of getting some sort of transfer fee?

$ would be the only reason for this delay. Mmmm the plot thickens.

Why would they? He wasn't under contract with the Sixers so they aren't entitled to a transfer fee.

LOL, Sixers fail then. They probably are still angling for money though going off of this latest news.

TF was on a one year contract, and by year I mean season.

That season has finished.

Please remove any thoughts of Sixers having any hold on the 'rights' to TF or that they somehow will get a fee from OKC.

Yeah well der, but Sixers not giving clearance means they aren't happy about something.

Is this actually anything to do with the 36ers? I read it as a FIBA bureaucracy thing

The Sixers refuse to sign his clearance, and have also blocked him on Twitter.

It has nothing to do with the Sixers. Definitely haven't blocked him on twitter.

They knew exactly what they were getting with 2k, so why would they hold anything up. This happened when OKC signed Cole last season after playing in China, it isn't that uncommon.

Sadly Dave, you're right, the 36ers knew what they were getting with TF and still went down that road haha

Gets drafted in first round and all you wanker haters are still carrying on. If he wins ROY there will still be some dickhead whinging.

So? Sixers fans want one thing - a Sixers title. They don't care if he got drafted or not, how does that help Sixers fans?

Which sixer from last year is in the NBA with millions? Was he supposed to be the cornerstone of sixers, was he a teenager out of high school? Did grown ass men not get job done against hawks?
Dumbass indeed.
