Why do the bookies keep making the Sixers and Taipans last all the time?

Haven't the Sixers proved that our team core is largely in tact and very capable?

I guess there are risks like no imports named yet, but same for Perth and yet they are assumed top 4 each time.

The only other risks I can see are Sobey and Mitch getting picked up by an NBA team (no sure if any of them have an Euro out clause).

Don't know if its bias but the Sixers $3.25 for Top 4 is not bad.

Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

I can't believe these odds are being produced, based only on the current team signings and the fixture having been released. What a joke!

Does anyone remember what the odds looked like prior to last season? Most of the bookies have three teams in the top five that didn't even make the finals last year.

I made $375 on a $50 bet the Taipans would make the finals last year... I might be in the money again at year's end, I think.

If I were a betting man I'd be quietly slipping a pineapple on the 36ers at $12 to win the title.

Crazy odds given we were top of the ladder last season likely bringing back all of our Aussie core and if Randle were to re-sign upgrades on Jacobsen & Ferguson wouldn't be too hard to find.

Isn't Randle asking for some outrageous amount though?

Yes but when the market starts to dry up he might pull his head in and come down to a realistic figure.

He didn't even get an NBA summer league gig which should've sobered him up a little.

Yes kind of the reason I posted this was because no team lineup is set which makes this comical. Also make the bookies pay for it boys with the value on ADL, CNS, etc.!

Yeah Randle is killing it in China.

Webster for MVP? They must be on the same green stuff he is!

Melbourne top this list every year based on what, a stacked roster and some hype?

Love the odds coming out this early, always good to pick up a few sneaky bets for MVP as well... Could be worth a few buckeroos on Kings for least wins as well...

I think at that stage there were still a lot of things up in the air. Maybe Moore was signed but otherwise Randle being gone was probably putting people off?

Isaac you usually place a few bets. What did you have?

I had Wildcats @ $5.00 which I cashed out from in profit as they became useless and I'm not a fan of Gleeson and the new GM (hopeless). At one stage their odds were @ $2.50 and the cash out figure was sexy.
