If they don't win this year then they might as well fold! Team of superstars might not be a superstar team.

I doubt Perth didn't want to resign him as the article says.

" Anonymous, Wed 20:03 - re: Melb United announce Cas..."

At first I thought "which one?!"

Melbourne United announce Casino chips now a valid method of paying players way above the salary cap.

Championships are built, not bought, The United have tried to buy a championship every year since its inception and karma is a B***H

They've had shit coaches to harness that talent, I think this year they could be real deal.

Quite a lot of negative feedback on social media I see. Some folks not too thrilled with the photoshopped red jersey he's holding, not too subtle there.

As a Wildcats supporter I'm just stoked to see him back here. Guy gave us some amazing memories. I'm on my 10th wedding anniversary on Dec 22nd in Melbourne and will definitely be buying tickets at Hisense now to watch them.

Cats fans whining about other teams hosing down star players in cash to buy a championship is the very definition of irony, particularly after last season.

It would be hypocrisy, if anything. Who did the Cats pinch off another team last season?

Same thing. Both teams $$$$$$. One getting fresh imports, the other recycled. $$$$$$

So Randle now has no big $ options left in Australia and on the wrong aide of 30.

Has an MVP ever fallen this far down so quickly?

There's a little bit more to this story. The cats made Casey an offer that he was happy with given he didn't make an NBA roster, Webster pulls the pin so the cats jump on cotton and pay big money by NBA standards (no other option really), Casey's agent finds out what Cotton is to be paid and tells the cats that he wants them to match Cottons contract or he goes elsewhere. The cats tried to meet him somewhere in the middle but he throws a tantie and looks for contracts elsewhere....and now at melbourne still not getting paid as much as Cotton. As a cat's supporter it's difficult to see him go but this just shows the difference between Cotton and Prather, not only is cotton more important to the squad than prather but he turned down much bigger offers in Europe to come back, Prather showed that money is his number 1 motivation.

I wonder if Prather realised FlopKing and Anderson don't pass or play defence?

Does anyone know if Mohammad Bamba played last night? If so, how did he play??

I don't think its fair to say Prather "threw a tantie." I'm sorry to see him go but I have no issue with him chasing dollars.

Yeah, I think Prather has every right to demand the same wage as Cotton, given his tenure, output and skill level.

Same. Prather is the one of the two I'd pick for my team first.

He was probably their best player 18p, 9r, 5b, 4a, 2s, 3t, 6/14 fg, 0/3 3pt, 6/12 ft

Agree with B.O. for sure... Prather had put in the time, had proven himself over longer and was just as key, more valuable depending on who you ask, he definitely deserves to have his salary match Cottons...

Also had a much more impressive Summer League as well...

I agree with Prather. Wildcats do another dirty but this time don't get away with it. Good move to get your agent to find out what Cotton was on.
