SA Premier League Grand Finals - August 19

All of last weeks dramas is behind us now, all that matters are those on court tomorrow.

Women's prediction:

Southern's depth to shine through & experienced refs to not fall for Jo Hills antics. Southern by 8.

Men's prediction:

Ridgeway a big out but Oldham is MVP. Will be close but Southern's extra bigs may be too much. Southern by 4.

Disgraceful display of sportsmanship by Southern booing a legend of our game in Jo Hill tonight for no reason. A multiple Olympian and a great person. No class whatsoever.

Anyone seen Drmic? Did he play last night?

Drmic played, did nothing in last quarter when was time to step up but looked like it was matter of Oldham getting on balls an dominating.

Patrick Thomas was sensational on Drmic. Looked like Coach McLean moved Oldham to the point spot and he took over the 4th. Very well contained for 3 quarters.

Two very entertaining games.
Agree with previous posts re shameful treatment from spectators to Jo Hill- I thought she must have decked 3 Tiger players early in game, but it appears to be simple bad sportsmanship.

Drmic & Thomas were both great to watch showcase their skills.
The 'cream' rose to the top in last quarter as Dee showed class and fed off the crowd support to make the MVP trophy his own.
Harold got a rousing reception when called out to join the team by Spud- could there be more?

Pity Harold's brain fade means he will never be recognised in official records as being in a winning game.

Oldham (25 points) was for-the- most-part unsighted in the first three terms, but piled on 18 last-quarter points to guide his side to an unlikely triumph.

The Tigers led for much of the encounter, but strong efforts from Anthony Drmic (15 points) and Michael Nwelue (16 points, 14 rebounds) were in vain as West Adelaide exploded to break their 21-year championship hoodoo.

Drmic kick-started proceedings with a twisting jumper, but it was very much West who took control of the opening term.

Jordan West (15 points, 10 boards) hit an early triple to get his side moving. The Bearcats extended their lead to eight points, before consecutive triples from Robert Linton (12 points) had the Tigers back in the contest.

Any reasonable club will do it's due diligence on character. He is going to find it more difficult. Who wants a bench warmer who can't control his actions in an important game.

Women's game was hard fought affair. Broken arm to Norths captain early in game did unbalance them. Either team were worthy winners.

Booing by Tigers spectators after game was poor sportsmanship. But Karma repaid them in men's game when they lost the unlosable game. Kudos to west coach who simply outcoached Tigers coach

Drmic as the NBL rookie of the year and current rostered 36er, was very disappointing. He lacked any dominance, and really went quiet when the game was on the line. Watching that, Drmic is a similar age to Creek and i feel he will never be anything more than a role playing shooter of an NBL bench.

The booing was ridiculous, the woman is a legend in SA and Aussie sport.

Loved seeing Westies get up.

Drmic has an ego, when things don't fall his way he looks for calls to the point of not running back on D and then lets his team down. can NOT stand him.

His attitude reminds me of Tomic.

Perhaps Boti is bitter with Tigers, but even if he got the gig, he would have been embarrassed and disgusted at the moronic booing when Jo got the ball.
Even Trump would have admitted to some pity and that is saying something.
