NBL Blitz Wildcats v 36ers, Kings v Bullets

Anyone know the link to live stats?

I'm tipping Wildcats over 36ers by 8

And Kings over Bullets by 11

Steindl is playing his way into an NBL contract half way through the 2nd...

15 pts, 3/4 3PT (& FG), 5/5 FT

Has anyone looked at the Play-by-play for fibastats?

Does it look back to front to you?

Steindl... Did someone say beast?

I think the signing of Tokoto sealed any chance their was of Steindl getting a spot at Perth. He plays the same spot and with the roster full now Perth would have to eat one of the contracts of Waxy or DKD and couldn't see them paying Waxy to just be a warm body in practice again.

LoveBroker - re play by play - agreed, its totally upside down, but it gets even more weird when foul shots are taken.

To whom do we send a request for change - ''website administrators'', the NBL.com.au site doesn't even have a contact link yet?

Yeah its like the actions are reversed where the event is within the same second. For example, 8:12 Free throw 2, then free throw 1, then foul on X, foul by Y.

Not just the freethrows, it will show a time out first, followed by a turnover, followed by a fou,l followed by free throws. Totally in the wrong order.

The problem is FIBA's Live Stats software, it's nothing to do with the NBL.

If it's FIBA it's not their problem at all.

I read somewhere that Deng got injured in one of the games in WA not sure how bad and Shorter only arrived in the country a day or two ago (the team met up with him in Melb) so doubt he's had much of a chance to train with them yet even assuming he has clearance as he was still playing in China up to two weeks ago.

Ramone Moore is one to watch this season. Showed it today.

Sobey, Moore and Creek is a nice wing combination.

Cotton injured?

Feels like the band is getting back together watching Holt and Kickert combine there. United 2016.

So without any front court depth or a proper PG backup, the Kings got overrun inside, with their rookie catching some really silly quick fouls in his first proper hit out against an NBL team, and mauled in the back court...

Who could have seen this coming?

Yes, it's only pre-season, but players aren't going to get taller or magically develop 10yrs worth of PG abilities...

One shining light was that the Kings actually managed to win a rebound count... baffling... Also was good to see that, apart from Lisch not starting, the old optimistic Anon got his small ball line up and that it worked out... For Brisbane...

Wildcats with a horrid start to the year. Walker out, cotton injured, Knight injured, Brandt Injury cloud, Damo playing 28 mins in preseason games...

Yeah that foul prone issue from Kentucky days still there. That's the main concern I had with him. He needs to hold back the urge to reach or step in when he got beat on D. Otherwise, quite clear that he was far too mobile for someone like Jervis/Petrie to shut down completely.

Yes its usual pre-season shenanigans and time to test things before the real thing starts but you'd have to worry a bit with what the brain trust came up with. Small ball in half-court setting for extended period? Never going to work with the pace they play at.

Anyone have any insight as to what's going on with Cooke for the Cats. Still not cleared....he's been in Perth for a month. Seems a little strange.

@Steve - from the very few glimpses I saw of Isaac on offense, he actually looked pretty mobile and I think will be good, but will have to work so hard at the other end it will have an impact on him like it did with Lisch last season...

Getting more clips and info from people like Aussiehoopla than NBL, it's ridiculous...

The 'it's only preseason' crowd might disagree, but the Kings look in massive trouble already to me. Sure, it's early, and Lisch wasn't playing, but the issues everyone was concerned about - no legit PG, questionable frontline - reared their ugly head against Brisbane.

Humphries is young, Pineau a backup at best and Singh is just big and way too slow at this level. Playing Ellis and his alligator arms at the five is madness and although Cadee had 16 that just masked the fact that his defense is more atrocious than ever. He got absolutely torched by Holt and Trice.

Van Groningen is at severe risk of turning into Van WrongAgain. I cannot believe this team will wait much longer before pulling the trigger on a third import. Otherwise, even with Lisch, there's no way this is a playoff team as its been put together right now.

Tonight we'll be missing a few guys:

Cotton, Knight, Brandt - hurt.

Martin, Wagstaff - load mgmt.

Cooke Jr, Tokoto - pending clearance."

The Wildcats giving LK the finger lol

Was always a bit silly putting the Blitz on this early just to get it out the way of the NBA preseason trip.

Kings looked very good against United, humphries came off the bench and at least halved the contest against Boone and Majok.. Ellis looks fantastic, so kings fans it's not all doom and gloom.
