24 ex NBA players that could play NBL

Interesting to see the quality of players cut from the NBA, many of whom are looking for jobs. I would love to see some of these play in the NBL:

Chris Anderson
Matt Barnes
Mike Miller
Luis Scola
Metta World Peace
Mike Dunleavy
Boris Diaw
David Lee
Sasha Vujacic
Deron Williams
Brandon Bass
Tiago Splitter
Monta Ellis
Norris Cole
Roy Hibbert
Spencer Hawes
Gerald Henderson
Jordan Hill
Ty Lawson
Festus Ezeli
Brandon Jennings
Derrick Williams
Jared Sullinger
Trey Burke

Who would you most like playing in the NBL?

You could make a good NBA team out of the best of those guys LOL.

Any of them would dominate the NBL

Think Burke signed with Minnesota. A lot of those guys are signed elsewhere (China, France, Italy etc), don't know that there are too many on that list "looking for jobs".

Still a fair portion that have been waived and not picked up.

There's more outside of these that have been picked up in other leagues e.g Josh Smith, Jimmer Freddette

Actually Fredette turned down NBA offers because he can make more money playing in China.

Didn't Trey Burke just sign with the Knicks the other day?

Half of those guys on that list likely wouldn't cut it as NBL imports and perhaps more importantly have made so much money already they likely wouldn't get out of bed for NBL money anyway.

Burke was cut by the Knicks and signed with Timberwolves. Sullinger, Jennings, Lawson are all in China from that list that I know of, Diaw in France, Vujacic in Italy.

Still think a few of those guys will get late call-ups to the NBA.

I doubt T-wolves have picked up Trey Burke, he was officially waived by Knicks only 20 hours ago. Nothing on my radar anywhere as yet.

Its correct that a lot of the guys on that list have been contracted in China CBA, Diaw & Vujacic in Europe and Norris Cole in Israel.

There are only 3 on that remaining list that I think may have a slight chance of landing in the NBL: Chris Andersen, Roy Hibbert and Monta Ellis. The others will go either China or Europe for more money.

Chris Andersen's age will probably scare a lot of suitors away while Roy Hibbert's scouting report looks bad enough that he's almost a certain bust in the NBL. Only the Kings may be interested in those two before Lisch's injury tonight but now its unlikely.

Monta Ellis is probable because he's currently in a somewhat similar situation to Josh Childress when he first landed in the NBL. The Pacers are paying him 11 mil USD over 5 years for the remaining 2 years of his contract.

With NBA teams finalizing their roster now, it looks like Ellis won't be picked up even at the Vet minimum simply because his game lacks solid perimeter shooting which is requisite in today's NBA backcourt.

With money still coming in from the Pacers, he may not be too concerned with chump change if he can play in a league tough enough to keep him sharp until an NBA opportunity arises later this season or even the next.

Kobe Bryant would be great for league publicity. Would never happen but even if he played 1 game for an NBL team imagine the exposure the league would get.
Probs wouldn't be good exposure having Kobe drop 80 on an NBL team but sure would be fun to watch.
