Good job by Marc Fleisher the agent for Aron Baynes. Found the right fit/role in Boston after opting out of $6.5M in Detroit. 1 year contract could parlay into a nice raise come July.
If he keeps this up will get a substantial long term contract and pay increase something like $60 m over 4 years

He won't get anything approaching that money but he should expect something in the $6-8m per range. Teams have even less cap space available next year and GM's are hesitant to spend big on role playing bigs having gotten burnt by a few contracts.
I said at the time when he took a pay cut to join Boston that it would work out well for him playing on a deep playoff team in a big market vs staying on a non-playoff team in a small market.

As always it's all about opportunity. Horford misses time through the concussion protocol and Boston are a little thin up front. Could be a great couple of weeks for the big man. Kyrie is elite in the pick n roll, so this is a genuinely good matching. Good luck to him...so under rated.
Not so sure about Maker being a centre I know he is listed as one but I see him as a forward.
If Boomers were playing now Baynes would definetly start with Simmons, Mills, Ingles and Maker
Bolden would start over maker imo at the pf spot.
