Yes, on the surface it feels like bad news for the Hawks but I am willing to give Ogilvy some grace because he was injured much of the season.

They will need him if Kay really leaves.

hopefully got him at a much reduced rate so they can spend on decent players.
They'll need the cash to find somebody that can handle playing against men.
sad, but he has gotten worse every year. But as they say, you can't teach height

Usually when its a player option its not at reduced rate. If they think they can get better on FA they won't pick up their option.

Remember the days he was rated an NBA option.

The rate will depend on the contract and their status at the time it was signed. Someone at their peak or getting close to it would usually have a contract that increased in value each year. A veteran wrapping up their career would have the opposite (e.g., someone like Vukona perhaps, Gibbo's next contract, Newley's next, etc).

In Ogilvy's case, I'd be surprised if it wasn't the former and imagine he'd be taking the option in either case - not his best season, but I don't know if the Hawks can be choosy, especially if Kay is gone.

Terrible news for the Hawks, even Bevo can't get this guy playing well, very mentally weak.

Delvorn was the perfect fit as a 3rd import in the NBL I really liked what he brought to the Hawks this season. They fared way better with Delvorn starting ahead of AJ. He is exactly the type of player Matt Campbell would like.

AJ's option should be revoked on the grounds of that awfully too high shaved neck line.

AJ's option should be revoked on the grounds of looking too much like Anthony Edwards in Top Gun.

I'm going against the forum trend and predicting Ogilvy bounces back to form.
