Looking at tweets and articles online from the likes of Boti, saying Illawarra will get Cooks this season, I actully think Melbourne will, based purely on money, and that fact that Melbourne cleared a spot for it. I know Adnam is a PG, but with Imports and Hooley, Adnam didn't see any time anyway, So Cooks would be a solid addition.
Could be wrong, but watch this space.

Another theory: Cooks' dad is an assistant coach at the Hawks, and they will have minutes to throw at upcoming players.

Illawarra is a more realistic theory.
I doubt Melbourne would actually offer more $$.
So it's a crazy theory? Time will tell, but I'm sure that my theory of Webster siging this week at NZ is also crazy.
Cooks has no link to Melbourne though. Webster is from NZ, played for NZ and played for their coach

I'll be an idiot, but my understanding is that you don't have to have previous links to sign witha team in free agency. His agent already has 2 players there too. Webster to sign this week.

So because Melbourne has money Cooks will end up in Melbourne? That's a pretty loose theory there. My theory is he'll play in my local social team, because why not?
