NBA Finals: Warriors vs Cavs, Game 1

Well, there were a few discussion points out of that game!

LeBron with the first 50+ point Finals game since Jordan in 1993. Only the fourth ever, going by Basketball Reference.

Laughable the refs reviewing the charge because they were not sure if he was in the no charge circle.. Dodgy as hell and the refs need to go to Specsavers !!!!
And 2nd half of 3rd was catch up calls and no calls to stop Cavs run. Clear as daylight it was dodgey, not to mention the bias commentators who had to be called by their mates for clear bias amongst themselve

JR Smith & Clarkson actually hurt their own team so much with their stupid brain farts combine that with their awful shot selections (Clarkson) & JR thinking he's got Kyrie-like handles, which he clearly don’t! I really surprised that JR plays as much court time as he does, I’d rather Hood get some minutes. JR should not play anymore that 10 - 15 minutes a game!

NBA will even up the ledger after GSW were robbed in 2016. Also will spur LeBron to leave which creates more drama that the NBA wants.

"Laughable the refs reviewing the charge because they were not sure if he was in the no charge circle"

That's incorrect. They're allowed to review the play in order to make the correct call since it was in the last 2mins of the game. More to the point: by NBA rules, LeBron did commit a blocking foul.

PlaymakerMo, you're incorrect. Whether a play is reviewed or not centres around a 'trigger'. They can stop play to call a review for only certain things, one of which is the charge circle. A trigger is something generally objective, yet once they start reviewing they can check for subjective, or judgement/interpretation calls such as 'was he in legal guarding position?'

Lebron was correct. He was like 3 feet outside the charge zone. Referees made a huge blunder in reviewing that.

Hill missed free throw and smith dribbling out the time after the rebound were also very costly. Smith said he knew scores were tied so not sure what he was thinking. Also not sure why smith plays so many minutes and does so little.

Lebron was pretty pissed off though

Manu - You're correct about the trigger and Playmaker Mo is correct in the refs being able to review the play in that situation.

One of the NBA's 15 triggers for replay/review is "Referees may review block/charge calls when they are not reasonably certain as to whether the defender was inside or outside of the restricted area during the last two minutes of the fourth period and overtime."

The Lebron call was corrected....was never a charge.

Id like to see that rule in the NBL...there would be 10 calls a game corrected!!

Be interesting to see the chase for the finals MVP.

Durant wants another one because its ammunition against LBJ for best in the game (even though IMO it doesnt say much).

Curry secretly wants it because his legacy is hurt by not winning one as of now.

Thompson wants to win one too.

I get the sense that literally just about everyone has had enough of GSW. You can even get the sense in the commentary. Like ok here's another GSW win.

Refereeing really not helping either.
