With RMIT joining Melbourne University in entering Big V, will Monash look to return? Will we eventually see Deakin Uni

Was just about to post that about Vic Uni.

Be good to see them do it next year.

La Trobe had a team a few years ago, would this hinder the NBL attempt of a University League??

You'd imagine the NBLs uni league would run in summer alongside the NBL, so if a club is being established they could do both, same as CBL clubs and Big V.

Good point.

I like the ideas of these universities being in the league maybe even in the league as Youth League. Most of them have good facilities and can harness student support - playing at Tin Alley at playoff time was always good fun

The old days of Monash uni was great fun.

The demographic of students has changed so not sure if that helps of hinders uni's/bball moving forward.

Hope the Uni's and the student bodies can get behind it again as it

Believe it's Bundoora. That's where early runs/ tryouts were held.

Must admit seen these guys play they are not bad at all. Will only continue to get better in the second half of the year. Good on Big V for getting this up and going.

They've been a good addition. Is Monash Uni still looking to enter like previously rumoured?

RMIT are on 3 wins with the best import in the league, how's that good?

Was there not people saying they would lose every game by 30+

Lost track of how many times it was mentioned that they will be the worst Big V team ever.

I recall posts saying that they wouldn't win a game.

Some people on here just want to hate

Big V allowing RMIT to enter just made their problem worse - add another team not good enough to compete with the best in D2, making it a watered down product unless you're catching the top 6 playing each other.
Are we really congratulating them for not being a total train wreck? Where'd the standard go?

How good is their import Steve Coffey? Could he play as an import in Big V Champ?

Coffey had done well in Europe in the same leagues SCM imports have come from.

They were always going to win some games heck carlton have even won a game this year. Mornington are far worse just made up of wednesday domestic players.

The top 5 players would find a place on most of the other teams in the division, its once the starters go off that they struggle as do most teams in div 2 bar the top couple
