Just read that Chelsea signed new female import, looks impressive with good credentials, any other signings import wise or gun players, heard Jake Macauley has gone to Casey
Why didn't Chelsea Women go to Champ like their men's team? Whats the point of having an import for Div 1 if you win and don't go up?

They should have at the start of last year but this year they finished mid table.
Chelsea have released on Big V that they have signed Corey Standefer and Colin Voss as their imports.
No news from Casey.

MALE DOMINATED.the women's squad was outstanding,but,being MALE DOMINANTED they off loaded the quality females.
End result is they cann9t afford to have both go up.MALES FIRST.

Those same quality females are still chasing money at their 4th and 5th clubs!

If you are good at something never do it for free. And regarding money there is plenty being handed out there, nobody will admit it though. Most teams in BIG V D1 and Above have a budget do they not?
How coaches or clubs decide to use that is their own choice, don`t hate on others for something they have that you don`t
How much are Casey paying their imports!?

every club has a budget how they spend it and what they have is up to them.
Sometimes its just coaches & travel
Sometimes those coaches are happy to share a little of their pay with a certain player
Sometimes clubs give all players not season fees (essentially $700 per year) to play
Sometime like to top it up
I know, personally before people think its hear say, but some clubs have had 20k+ budget for players in Div 2 let alone what Division 1 brings - its fascinating to know, but its healthy that kids can get paid to play local basketball something never really was an opportunity in the 90s
