While Dusty is the team's top performer right now, I think Holmes would give it a crack and add some pretty decent defense to that position. He's averaging 10 rebounds a game already and averaged 18.5 PPG and 10.5 RPG on the FNQ double. Maher missing, IMO, would see them struggle more because they'd lose their playmaker and clutch scorer.

i agree that dusty is our only TRUE power forward, but with nash, holmes and oscar filling in they have more than enough rebounding and scoring power to cover for him.

you should look at it from the point of view if willie or brett get injured mainly brett, team has ample forwards, Forman, Holmes, Nash, Cooper, Dusty etc but only two real guards with HIll doing a back up role, really you only have brett to handle and distribute as willie is more shoot first as is hill

cheeze - you mustn't ever have played the game. You must be like one of those couch-pro's quick to shoot your mouth, but slow to get off the coach and do what you say. When a player goes down, all those around you lift. To answer your questions

1. Recruiting solid back court in farley (O/s) and Maher (turkey), kept some high quality junior prospects (holmes, Forman, Hill)

and

2. Farley Maher (a couple each), Holmes, Big O (maybe a little under half) Coops/Big Sexy (little under half).

Eat it!

If Dusty got injured and missed games, depending on how long he was out for, could easily be replaced. He is an import afterall. We'd never find someone as good but at least we could get someone to play that position.

When it comes down to it, Maher is the most difficult player to replace out of the team, although if Coops went down it would make things difficult.

While I agree with Cheeze that the value of Dusty is immesurable, if he was injured it would only hurt us as much any injury to a key player in any team would be, which, lets face it, is pretty big. But it is not as bad as all that Cheeze!
