Atten: ALL Sixers Fans

Graham Cornes and K-K-K-K KG have a radio sports show on 1395 am from 4pm to 7pm.
They take callers from sports fans, typically Crows and Power people.
Well folks FOOTY season is over!!

The Sixers are on top of the ladder and Sixer fans need to ring up and make some noise, stand up and be counted.

I'm suggesting that EVERYBODY who frequents Isaac's superb website ring up 1395 and talk basketball. Let's take over the show people.

Tonights show we need fans talking up the Sixers season so far, the nail biting finishes, Brett Maher's MVP season and the Sixers being on top of the ladder.

Cornes is a Sixers fan so he is always up for a chat, KG scracthes his arse and bumps into things so don't be put off by his lack of knowledge.

To call the talkback line call 8224 0000

Surely Bizzy could make at least 13 calls tonight.
Kent Brockman, Moses Guthrie, Isaac, Yogee, Libertine, Kriss, The Doctor, Panther, DJ, Cheezeburger, MW, What the, Hoop Addict, Skyhook, EC, TR, DR Dunkenstein, The Truth, Take Luck etc etc etc
We need you to call, lets make 1395 Sixers Talk back radio.

Get it on!

KG and Graham aren't too smart in the basketball area.

Kriss:"Hi KG, how do you think the sixers will go in the finals this year"
KG:"eeeeerrrr w-w-w-well kriss they-they'll probably finish t-t-top"
Graham: "Ken how can you say that (insert medaphore) the season isn't over yet!"
KG:"y-y-yes t-t-th-thats true studly b-b-but i think with the team we have w-w-we can go all the way"
Graham: "Yeah Mark Davis and Al Green are playing pretty well"

KG once asked Mark Nash "The 6ers got off to a quick start against the Kings? Was that a plan by Phil Smyth?"

I think that says it all about KG's basketball knowledge and general intelligence.

A great radio caller, KG should just be dropped from the show as a host. He struggles in any area which actually requires the ability to think.

i remember watching channel 9 news when the bulls won one of their championships, and after the segment was shown KG said along the lines "who cares, big deal". so you know he wouldn't give a toss about the 6ers really.

Without KG the show might actually be worth a listen.

Any humour in the show is unintentional.

I don't find any value in calling up the station, saying "Well the Sixers are playing well," just for KG to say "Yes they are. Now let's talk about some rookie footballer's sore big toe and how that might affect the Crows chances next September." At least Cornes can be stuffed reading the score lines and might ask "Some close wins there, do you actually think they are in as great form as their position on the ladder might indicate?"

When was the last time Cornes actually came to a game? He used to, but I haven't seen him there for a long time.

kg, does not show any respect or interest in the 36ers

remember a passing comment he made during the sanfl season when asked what he thought about the the sixers

"Does Any one actually care ? Micky mouse sport if you can actually call it that"

so fire up i say ring him and question his knowledge on all that is sport (as long as it has afl or sanfl in its sporting body)

Dr. Dunkeinstein was heard tonight.

Both hosts just tried to get him to hang up as quickly as possible so as to talk about more football.

Perhaps try a not-so-obvious tact. Instead of getting them to talk directly about the Sixers or basketball, give them a tangent that they'd love to run with.

e.g., ask for their opinion on a young basketballer like Andrew Bogut getting paid so much money. Is anyone worth that much?

Or ask about the McLeod vs Hewitt dispute, and say that the last time you saw the two of them in Adelaide, they were happily side-by-side at a Sixers game.

Or mention the SANFL and the NBL and ask how much of the success of a sporting league comes from the sport itself, and how much from advertising it to the public.

they do have sixer players on regularly but it may be more accurate to call their show footy plus rather than a sport show.
