For a start, no SA division 2 team will qualify for the classics because there of the "1 team per club in division 1 rule". The reason that Melbourne division 2 teams may play in Classics in that they earn their spot in the VC and are one of the top 8 teams.

Generally, the Top 4 from SA are invited, based on State Champ results, and sometimes the top 5 or 6 may end up travelling depending upon numbers.

It is unlikely that a Div 2 team would finish in the top 4 for State Champs but there is nothing to stop them nominating if they do not have a Div 1 team. Freddies Dreamers from from beyond the Black Stump could enter if they thought they were good enough.

Supporter there is nothing to stop them nominating but BASA would not let them in the div 1 comp. Its been tried before and the answer was no!

a club is only allowed to enter 1 team per grade per age - for state champs

if your club has only a div 2 team and no div 1 team in that age - they can nominate for "State" not "reserves"

hope you feel confident

this raizes an issue - if a club does not feild a team in that level at state champs - why can't the club with the highest finishing reserves grade team go in it - so you get a balanced pool play off

Nunawading championship grade is high standard for a div 2 team - if you win / do well in that grade - you do have a kick ass team
