Well this should get some debate going. I still remember the replies to the Top 25 Junior Coaches.

I'd have to say although in his rookie season I'd rate Marc Wallis ahead of Holland and maybe even Smyth and Green.

I'd probably have Ninnis ahead of Hill in the boys too.

Just my thoughts people.

C'mon now Hoop Addict, not even in the ball park.

Simpson hasn't improved the Centrals group, and only did well at Woodville with the horses. Hopkins and Loveday (while not a fav of mine) both need to move up.

In the ladies, Wallis is undefeated and while not top needs to move up. Lee just beat Green by, what? 40. Switch them around. And what has Williams done.

Men
York - Woodville - coaching + rectruiting
Ninnis -Sturt -results with good groups + good this year without
Hill - Eastern - Always solid with no team depth
Simmons - Forrestville - doing a good job with changing group
Hopkins - Overachieving
Loveday - In the mix
Simpson - Centrals - Not enough improvement
Hunnerup - Always the bradesmaid
Dodson - Norwood - Too many cooks
Scanlon - South - Hard place to start

Women
Kinsman - Forrestville - Always up the top
Wallis - North - Undefeated must count for something
Smyth - West - Always seems to over achieve
Lee - Sturt - Improving group as the season continues
Green - South - Good rectruiter - needs results
Williams - Eastern - Good coach, but needs some wins
Holland - Woodvile - Dito
Kinghorn - Tiger - Promises much, but produces little
Kellaway - Norwood - Classic underachieving
Leszczuk - Centrals - How would we know.

The question remains, how could people know unless they've been coached by them all!? Some have the benefit of national league players, some have only junior squads, some have 3 guns and nobody else?!

I always find it hard to comprehaned how media-types can rate coaches based upon solely results! Just because you get results doesn't mean you're a good coach - and vice-versa.

right on the money Libertine but it does create some interesting debate. Jirachi i also agree with you the team won not the coach. Observations not rankings. Southern is greatly improved, the coach has developed the group with minimal recruiting - For this Billy receives a definite pass mark. Sturt men have had injuries and other absences in many games during these times I feel their talent has been somewhat similar to West and Norwoods yet they seem likely to make the finals. This seems to indicate a great effort by the players and that the coach is succeeding. North continue to win without an NBL calibre player (sorry Hawkes)and a without great size, they post up one of the Groves boys! Loveday is going well. Pretty hard to rank with any confidence if you dont see regular games, trainings, listen to the coach about philosophies and what they are trying to achieve

1)Hopkins - has succeeded where his more highly credentialled predecessors havent
2)York - has the horses which probably makes it more difficult to succeed
3)Simpson - always gets the most out of limited talent
4)Ninnis - up and down but runs on the board
5)Hill-young team, great results
6)Simons- stop trying to buy championships, surely last year would prove its about having the best team! (Not his fault though)
7)Loveday - should have won last year but can prove himself this year
8)Dodson - team has disappointed
9)Hunnerup - see West
10)Scanlon - may not be his fault but this team has talent but nothing to show for it.

mmm...very interesting topic.
i will only rate the mens league as to be honest i have not seen enough of the womens comp to make a statement.
1. hill
2. york
3. symons
4. hopkins- the tigers have improved a lot this year even if they miss the 5.
5. simpson- i defintely think the lions have been much improved this year, especially considering they lost wilkey.
6. ninnis
7. loveday- lost the final last year...otherwise would be a lot higher
8. dodson- underachieved
9. hunnerup
10. scanlon- underachieved big time...too many cooks spoil the broth.

STRONG RUMOUR: simpson may join his old club next year.
