BASA Expansion ?
Should new clubs be allowed to play in the SA district competition and have the same benefits as the other 10 clubs?
If the Western Magic Basketball Club or any other club (Torrens Valley) would like to become a Member club in SA then they should have to gain entry from a vote of acceptance the executive committee that runs BASA (the current 10 member club presidents). This will allowed them the same rights and privileges as the other member clubs. Any new club should be forced to follow theses guidelines before they can enter a BASA run competition.
They should have to buy an existing licence or apply to BASA to become an expansion club and pay market value or what the going rate is.
I would value the Adelaide 36ers at approximately 3.5 Million dollars and the 10-member club are equal owners of that organization
10% of $3,500,000 would be $350 000 plus sign a contract that they agree to the terms and conditions of the BASA loan and the repayment as a equity owner of the Basketball association of South Australia.
With out a licence I don't think any other club should be allowed to enter any side (Div 1 or Div 6 boys or girls) and BASA has to try and make district basketball in South Australia exclusive again.
