Half way - what are the picks?

Yep, half way through the NBL season so lets get out the crystal balls and start placing bets.

Is Townsville's season over?
What about Bullets, still the team to oust the Kings?
We know where WSR will be, unless they break the Breakers!

Is there anything in a name... Kings are on the throne, Crocs are croaking, Hawks are circling, Bullets are blanks, Pirates are stealing some wins, the 36ers wins are all in the numbers, Breakers and RazorBACKS have broken backs? (yeah, I know the last was poor!)

What's going to happen?

Teams to beat... Sydney and Tigers.

Hawks, danger team for us.

Crocs are done...

Bullets are definately blanks.

Pirates, Perth, Taipans are competative.

Razorbacks and Breakers, no chance.

The thing that does worry me come final times is the possibility that teams like the Crocs and Bullets can sneak into the playoffs even though they don't deserve to be there and could cause a shake or two. 8 team playoffs suck..

Also a little concerned about the 36ers matching up with the Tigers and Kings over a 3 game series. I wonder if we have the height to take it to them over 3...

Bullets aren't out of the championship yet but it would be hard to see all the teams but Crocodiles to a spot, razorbacks will do better when they get Hovarth back.

Bullets won't make the finals because the season is a marathon and they are old. Too old and weak.
Except for Brannen, Bradtke and Black.

Cairns may not be doing so well but they have the talent to win the whole thing. However as the Bullets have showm this year, a team of champions may not be a championship team. Too many expect to much court time, no real good team players.

Adelaide will be contenders, the Wildcats are always firing hard and may make the Grand Final but i can't see them beating Adelaide or Melbourne or Wollongong (maybe them) or Kings.

Adelaide just needs more, that tiny bit more, however when its finals time you gotta believe that the Sixers can do it. C'mon, Maher, Farley, Forman, Holmes all performing really well and so is Cooper and nobody is better than Rychart, the ultimate Dust-man.

Anstey is the key to melbourne, Tucker will have to perform well but the Kings, other than being quite a boring team to watch just won't produce a championship this year.

it is hard to see who won't make it. Other than the Breakers, who have been better, not much but there getting there, very, very slowly.

Crocodiles just don't have the scoring power other than Rillie and sometimes Newley

Did you see the Bullets demolish WSR?!

That is what everyone was expecting from them at the start of the year. Maybe that was the game to give them the confidence to fire up.
