Dragons ticket pricing info
There's an article in the Herald Sun talking about the ticketing pricing plan for the new Melbourne NBL team, the Dragons. The key looks to be accessible pricing and non-reserved seats, encouraging fans to get there early to snap up good seats, or become a member. Could work?
Aside from allocating seats for members and corporates, the team will not offer reserved seating in a pricing scheme that means the most expensive single ticket will be less than $20 for Vodafone Arena games.Comparing that with the Tigers:
The fixed pricing structure for the new team, which is operated by Cowan Basketball and is expected to be known as the Dragons from next Thursday, has set concession tickets for juniors and students at $9.95, while adult tickets will be $19.95 and a family ticket $49.95.
A Tigers child's ticket is $15, adult prices range from $20-49, while a family ticket costs $72-84 for games at The Cage.I've wondered in the past if the NBL should enforce some sense of static pricing across the league, requesting that every club allocate a minimum of, say, 1,000 seats at a common pricing level (regardless of the team's location). $9.95 for students and $19.95 for a mid-range adult seat might work.
It would allow some common advertising materials.
