Idea for a new stadium

Just an idea for a location for a new district stadium. The old LeCornu site in North Adelaide has been vacant for most of my lifetime, and it doesn't ever look like they're doing anything with it. Wouldn't it be a good idea to build a new district stadium here? I know there's probably no funding for such a project and people will probably ask what the point is, but I think it might be a good idea.

I'll pass this idea onto BSA. I don't think they have much going on at present. Perhaps we could have a fee increase to fund it, or ask Mr Foley for a few million $$$$$

Con Makris owns that site - currently he is trying to pass a multi-storey shopping centre and cinema complex AFAIK.

Getting a basketball stadium there, why ? Why would that be a good site ? In the middle of one of the busiest urban areas in Adelaide? Rent thru the roof ? No parking ?

no way the residents would want a bmw showroom or coffee shop - great site - park where?

go to the pub after / cafe / food - yeah ! - good try but the dome will be it for the next 10 years

get rid of some of the suburban venues is my go - before they bio- degrade

Well you could use the space intelligently and build an underground carpark underneath I suppose.

Yeah! BASA can borrow another 900million dollars and the juniors can pay $100 to play and parents can cough up $20 per game to watch to help never pay it back! Doh!
