What will happen with West, North and Forestville under 20 men? All three teams have multiple players in the Under 20 State teams and all have to play each other for the last 3 games (or close to it) All 3 teams are in the top 5. When on earth are they going to be able to make up these games to then be able to play finals? The guys leave for perth this friday afternoon, and dont return until 10 days later. They also missed last weeks minor round as they were at the Millicent carnival all weekend.....????? Are the womens teams in the same boat? This will certainly test out the new BASA peoples organisational skills!

In reply to Anon (#70282) as per above post...

There is a BASA rule of some sort (I'm sure someone out there knows!) which states that a team has to have at least three players unavailble due to national championships committments.

As far as i know, the only team with three state players is West. Therefore, North and Forestville (two state representatives per team) will be unable to reschedule or make up these games at a later date and forced to play with an undermanned side. Not 100% sure if North can not postpone their games because they are also missing a coach due to state duties so this may qualify them to legally reschedule matches.

However, this stills begs the question how the hell West will make up their remaining three games. It will be interesting to see if they are prepared to play without three of their starters or simply postpone these games to a later date.

They will miss 2 games.

Each year we have the same problem. Only this year due to BASA changing the programming over summer it is more difficult. Having the 13 rounds means that we will not have time to play catch up games before finals. Whereas previously it just meant a change in the GF.

In the past the summer GF have been played when the winter has already started. You would have thought that this would have been sorted??

That is what happens when you let some clubs who do not know what is going on push through decisions on the rest of us.

Forestville U20s still have two make up games to play from December and could easily push through higher on the table if they win them. Seems like all teams will be playing 2/3 games a week while Winter has started, to determine finals placings.

if your going by the ladder, you wouldnt think the f/ville would make it as they have west and norwood who r very difficult even when they have half a team and have already played the catch up game vs woodville and lost. so that leaves sturt which u would think would be a win. so that leave 1 from 4 and north west norwood and woodville in the finals. makes sence u would say
