Mildura are very low on talent this year. Word is the club is cash strapped, may not be around in the SEABL too much longer. Lets hope not.

Good start to the season by the Pioneers, Mildura struggled without import. However, take nothing away from Pioneers you can only beat your opponent and they did it pretty convincingly.

They can only get better, and if they do happen to snag one more player, should be in the top four again this year.

Jamie Holmes was quiet on the scoring front for him, had 19 rebounds though and got 26 points in total from the two major guards, something which hasn't happened for a while. Mason scored 14 also.

The whole club from Board, to players and volunteers are really happy with the first up win.

I am surprized that Mt gambier are still in the SEABL i fear that they are more cash strapped then mildura.

Mount Gambier were pretty cashed strapped but the new board has done an amazing job in gaining many new sponsors and running fundraisers with the supporters group. It is believed that they will soon be making a profit on the season depending on crowd numbers. But all is extremely positive for the future of the club. (Doing much better than the 36ers?)
