Schenscher - Good stats game

Schenscher just suited up against the Blazers and got some good minutes in garbage time in the fourth and made the most of it about 17mins total for the game).

10 points on 5-6 shooting along with 4 rebounds. From following the play-by-play, looks like he ran the floor well and also went to work in the post on consecutive offenses to score on hook shots.

Hope it helps in him staying around for the rest of the year with the Bulls...

One assist and no fouls (his bane it seems) doesn't hurt either!

oops, should have read this first on the Bulls website, but one of their big men, Darius Songaila has fractured his foot and will be out for 6-8 weeks, so that should help in keeping the big red head around.

I think his 10 day contract is up anyway as it says on Luke's stats page that he was signed on the 3rd of March - it's now the 14th in the US... Haven't heard anything though about his contract being extended or given another 10 days - anyone??

There just aren't enough jobs in the world which have ten-day contracts:

"Fred, we'd really like for you to come and work with us for ten days. We don't think you're good enough to give you a full-time job, but just do the best you can for those ten days and then we'll probably have to let you go."

I can only imagine how useful this would be in a government department, where the advertising, interview and appointment process could last for up to six months and the actual job itself a fraction of that time.

From the NBA.com transactions page: "Sun,March 5: Chicago signs Luke Schenscher to a 10-day contract."

So it appears as his contract was first signed on the 5th, meaning this maybe his last game on that contract.

He doesn't get to play Bogut (that's the game after the 10 days expires).

Surely they will extend it given another big man is out for 8-10.

Man, I bet they miss Eddie Curry!

just watched the highlights of the game and they finished with Luke's big jumpshot as well as a good post position, then the feed and layup over someone.

It faded out with Luke running back down court with that ugly red mop bobbing up and down - he sure ain't going to win any style awards, maybe just another 10 day contract! =)

Perhaps they will sign Anstey instead?
