The Sixers are leaving their recruiting for this year until the end when all that will be left, are the players who couldn't get an offer from anywhere else. The season ticket holder numbers will continue to fall as will the crowd numbers. People will not pay NBL pices to watch a glorified ABA team.

With the financial problems as the top issue, the club will be gone within the next two years, so there won't be another championship.

This is the wrong time to be asking for predictions when we don't even know the makeup of our team. Everything is going to depend on who is recruited and how well they fit into the team. All we have to go by at the moment is the same team we had last season, less a couple of players and possible less again by the non re signing of some of our other free agents. Its like trying to find a cure for a disease when you don't know the symptons. When the team is finalised, you still won't be able to predict without seeing them in action as a team. The best time to ask this question is half way through the new season.

Smyth and Breheny may consider it nobody else's business as to whom and when they recruit, but what they fail to realise is the negative impact this has on season ticket sales/renewals. Knowledgeable fans want to know what the team make up is before they part with their hard earned cash.

I was trying to convince Davidson to come and play for us last night after the Boomers game, he said there are plenty of rumours out there, but he does like Adelaide as a city.

Our 2006 team will comprise the players who stay plus the players we think we've got, minus the players that other clubs take from the group we think we've got or don't stay.
