there is a spot in div 2 now that the second woodville side has gone down. maybe they should be asking to go up and avoid byes in both div 2 and 3

put them in div 2- they will probably win a few games - norwood put their div 3 in state champs and they won a few games and magic have beaten them

rather play than have byes

If anybody from BSA is reading this maybe they might consider why there are 17 teams in div 3 and 11 in div 2 - good opportunity for a promotion to prevent byes in both grades and heaven forbid - a team in div 3 might even be interested in development and playing at a higher grade instead of winning in div 3. Norwood may want to have a look at themselves as to why they aren't banging on the door and jumping at this opportunity. And if this magic team is so good, well put your hand up and try your luck.

maybe the teams are happy where they are - ie only want to play saturday mornings

this late in the season - starting from scratch would be tough - struggle to make any finals with 0 prem points

at the end of the day - would the girls rather be a top div 3 crew or bottom / mid div 2 crew with no chance of making the finals ?

from what i have seen norwood and magic div 3 teams would struggle against the top 6 div 2 tweams - they would beat the bottom teams - but there is a big difference in div 2 top teams v bottom group

Good to see the D3 going so well.

How is their D1 and D2 teams going.

That's the point, there isn't any D1 or D2 magic teams in U/16 - if they are so good in D3, then push the team by nominating for D2. Opportunity knocks!

There is still a woodville 16g2 2 team. they turned up at marion on friday night and had no one to play, because sporting pulse said they no longer existed...
i think there were 7 or 8 players so it's not like they were struggling to field a team either.

Only member clubs have the opportunity to play in Div 1 and Div 2.

At least adding Magic to the U16G3 has added some interest - five teams within one game. Magic lost to North by 3, beat Nwd 1 by 3 when a Nwd 3 pointer rimmed out on the buzzer. Leave the teams where they are & enjoy the action.

Unfortunately, unless there is a split between div 3&4 as there was in the summer season, the bottom half of the ladder don't have much to look forward to when they play the top five teams.

promotion relegation is the only way for teams to balance out skill wise

so lets get it right woodville have a div 2.2 team - but sportingpulse says a bye now ???

P.S. this is no bye in div 3 now , sporting pulse still lists one of woodvilles original teams.. there are now 16 teams in div 3 (check the results page) there used to be 15. hence teams who had a bye no longer have one.
div 2 now gets a bye, and may have the same complaint as div 3, unless all the div 2 games this team competed in are now being converted into byes.

to late in the season to make adjustments to the div 2 comp.Everyone is worried about the Magic maybe winning the Div 3comp,I say lets bring Norwood 1 v Magic G/F on and lets see a high standard game. For the record Norwood 1 team finished 7th at the Easter Classic,7th at the State Champs and 7th atthe Nunawading tournament all of which are high standard div 2 comp

Congrats magic. These girls are what it is all about. Having fun and not having pressure to perform to an elite level.

If you just want to have fun go and play social,it doesn't matter what club you play for its about making friends, having some fun but improving yourself and seeing how far you can go....

If your just out there to have fun stop wasting people's time, your parents money and the coaches effort
