Bucks extend Bogut's contract

THE Milwaukee Bucks today (AEST) exercised the third-year contract option on Australia centre Andrew Bogut.

The No.1 overall pick in last June's National Basketball Association draft, Bogut averaged 9.8 points and 7.0 rebounds as a rookie and helped the Bucks reach the play-offs.

As part of the new collective bargaining agreement, rookie contracts are two years in length, with club options for the player's third and fourth seasons.
The Bucks have also changed their colours from the previous purple and green to red and green.

More about Bogut's contract at The Advertiser.

Much prefer the purple to the new colours, that is for sure.

i think the new colours are a bit better, purple is so annoying to look at as a strip (my opinion) but the red look to much like the raps, the green could look cool though. Good for bogut, now hopefully he moves to the C and becomes more consistant and slowly up his numbers.

Bogut's numbers will go up drastically this year if Magloire? is shipped out and he can play centre. Having said that 9 points and 8 rebounds per game in the toughest position in his first year are pretty good numbers.... Go Bogut! ps, they will look like toffee apples in that uniform!

The original colours of the Bucks were White, Red and Green, and the new modified logo actually looks better than the one it replaced, especially with the silver being kept. I think it could end up being one of the best uniforms in the league, if designed right.
