There was also an article in this week's City Messenger if anyone can get their hands on a copy. A few councillors don't think he can do both jobs...
My personal opinion is that he's probably been doing a multitude of things for years, how is this any different? But then I guess if you were a ratepayer in the area, you'd want your CEO to be totally focussed on the job at hand.

There's an article in the latest Eastern Courier about Unley Council not getting their debt paid by BASA as they had expected after the Big BASA Sale. Ron Green, having been CEO of both Unley and BASA was specifically noted as not being available for comment. Unley Council are looking at taking control of Wayville (over which BASA has a lease until 2010) as a means of regaining their money.
Ron Green should not be in charge of the current BASA board as he will be working closely with Hemmerling, but then again I guess they don't care about conflicts.

It was also stated that not even the Lord Mayor knew what a CEO does with their time.
sounds like a media beat up to me or Anne Moran attempting to get her name in the press a bit more.

Whoever the person is that continues to try and pay us out about these tears, why don't you put your name to your post?
Why would you continue to bag us? All we did was have a good crack at the tender and were unsuccessful, end of story. We were the first to congratulate Mal for becoming the new owner of the 36ers via our Talking Hoops radio show.
We will continue trying to make the sport of basketball our number one priority moving forward.
That would be why you had an article in the paper stating that you had not won the bid and that you are going to have a second team in Adeladie called the Sharks, on the same day they were havinmg a new conference.
Of course not sour grapes.
Of course not trying to steal the publicity of the news confrence.

hear, hear... nothing wrong with competition.
give the guys a break, at least they made an effort to keep hoops in SA when no one knew what was happening with it.
anon, give up the shit stirring, obviously the group you don't like didn't get the tender...or do you have other issues with MVP?
Maybe Belly can come out of retirement to posterize him.
