Worst all-time obscure 36ers 5

I am sure this has been done before, but hey..

Can be any player that has played at least 1 game for the 36ers, and is based on the quality of the player during their time with the 36ers only.

PG: David Spear
SG: Peter Sexton
SF: Kim Taylor
PF: Jason Wheeler
C: Harold McMath

Probably a bit harsh on Spear
but I needed a PG..

Bring out your obscure 36ers folks...

And yes I am well aware these
guys are all better than me and
achieved things at other levels.

I thought the same Uwe, my memory had him down replacing Mark Davis for a game at Apollo , asked the man himself and he confirms he never suited.

Ricky Noack ( same season as McGrath )
Jason Wheeler ( better than his bro)
Ben Osborne ( pre season games count?)
Simon O'donell ( not the cricketer)

+ the guy that was on the back to back teams and never played a minute yet has 2 rings for his efforts. More than Shane Heal therefore better than him.

Definately not Jason Williams.

Very harsh on Spear to. You dont play as many games as he did without being competent. I remember many games he saved the sixers after the main point guard did a vanishing act....

In fact a very poor topic all round. For me if you get to that level your well above most of us who post on here.

David Robinson was not good!
He put up some numbers from time to time but was an embarrassingly bad defender.
Willie Simmons trained with the team the whole year, was the preffered replacement of Paris McCurdy by the coach and team, and kicked Robinsons' arse everyday at training.

I had a look at his stats and he averaged 18 and 9 for the season at 57% and added 2.5 assists.

I can't say I remember his defence, but his offence was OK. I'm saying there have certainly been many worse imports in Adelaide

Ashley Truman, was PE teacher at Modbury High School. All stats say he played 3 games and didn't score, but he says 5 games and 2 points. Even has newspaper cutting to prove it. Story is, they wanted Dan Clausen so having Truman, his mate, would seal the deal.

Great guy, decent player, top teacher.
