The 8pm tip-off looks forlorn as the pre-game entertainment set for 7.15 only starts at 7.36 as some numbers begin to appear in the stands.

Finally at 8.18 and after commemorative plaques are presented to captains Brett Maher and Ben Knight, the match tips off in front of 1500.

That only grows to 1800 by the end of the first period.

And

The bus ride is quiet, punctuated by a 30-minute radio program highlightinhg the joys of Singapore's overnight win in front of "5000" people, a figure that brings a wry smile to most of the players.

So, where's the NBL pulling their "official" 4200 figure from?

i saw the arial shot of the crowd, it was closer to 4 thou then 1800

Your guess is as good as mine.

Hear a few people throwing around the 1k figure pre tip off, but than a few of the others are saying around the 3k mark.

Lets wait and see if Damrob has a crowd shot for us :-)

There doesn't look like too many were there in the photo alongside Boti's report in the link above. It shows the front six rows and 5 rows are empty.
