Funny Sixers stats within the NBL

Three games in and holding a 2-1 win-loss record, the Sixers are looking good. With three straight home games to come, they face the prospect of an excellent start to their 2004/05 campaign.

Competition within the NBL, however, is solid. In scoring, Rashad Tucker (Wildcats) leads the competition wth 27.5 PPG after two games. Burgess has 24 after 2, Kendall 24 after 1. For the Sixers and fitting into 4th spot is Willie Farley with 23 PPG after 3 games. Dusty Rychart is in 5th with 21.7 PPG. Further down the list, Brett Maher is averaging 18.7 PPG.

On the boards, the top Sixer is Rychart with 9.3 RPG. Burgess leads the league with 16.5 and Dwight is behind him with 13.5 RPG. Holmes is at 15th for Adelaide with 8.7 RPG. Oscar Forman (6.3 RPG) and David Cooper (6 RPG) are trailing at 29th and 30th in the league respectively.

With 8 offensive rebounds per game, Burgess is showing the way. Rychart is the first Sixer in at 12 with 3.3 ORPG. At the defensive end, Holmes is in 6th spot with 7 DRPG. Rychart at 12 (6 DRPG) and Forman at 16 (5.7 DRPG) follow.

Accuracy shows two Sixers in the top ten. Paul Rees is 3rd in the league with 80% FG while Forman is in 7th with 71%. Darren Ng gives Adelaide 11th spot at 67%.

Adelaide's generous players are Holmes and Maher, each with 5 assists per game. Ricky Grace (Wildcats) is even at the top with Sam Mackinnon (Razorbacks) on 7 APG each.

The assists per turnover count shows Rychart at 7th with 3.5 APT. Derek Rucker (Bullets) is the leader on 7.

No Sixers feature in the top ten NBL steals per game. Brad Sheridan (Kings) is averaging 4 after only one game. Farley and Rychart look to be first in for the Sixers with 1 SPG (20th in the NBL).
