I think it was because he hasn't been training due to exams.

I think you'll find he has been training full time but starting from today he's not training or playing until he's finished his exams.

i thought that the pigs offence was to quick for him to defend. look at last week when he was guarding newley, newley just drove all over him, and from wat it looked like thats wat the pigs were trying to do abit.

If he is not training or playing until after his exams, why is he suiting up? I would have thought that he would have just turned up in Jeans and 36ers polo.

Sturty6ers, he HAS been training which is why he's been suting up. He won't be suiting up for the next 3 games.

Because the coaches spend to much time reading SA Hoops.

ng shouldn't be in the squad. I think after last night's performance, Sutton will get his minutes from now on.

Sutton and Ng play different positions. Sutton's a point guard whereas Ng's plays the 2.

On last years ABA season Darren is probably in the top five ABA players of the last decade. The question about is NBL credentials is still up for debate. He can shoot the ball - but as we have seen time and time again he struggles to guard anyone in the league and teams know this and exploit it straight away, leaving the coaches no choice but to sub him off. I'm not sure if there will ever be a solution to this. The biggest issue is his slight build but he also has some footwork problems. Maybe he can only be played on the odd occasion where there is a suitable matchup for him. Maybe a Robertson or Caporn? Any others?

Point taken although its not how big you are its how big you play, just because you well built doesnt mean anything conversly if you are skinny doesnt mean you are weak.He has to be more aggressive when he's out there ,play strong.

Philnaldo, unfortunately his being skinny means everything. Every guard in the league just drives hard on him and muscles their way to the middle.

I think he has a place, just not a starter or main rotation guy.

I don't think anyone here is expecting Ng to be a starter

He certainly can play in the NBL but off the bench and for limited minutes..

I'd still take Ng and Hill over Sutton.. Sutton's had 2 "alright" games - I'm not convinced of him yet. Would like to see Sutton contribute more points-wise before I start saying how he's the next star

So ur sayin beacuse hes not contributing "score wise" he hasnt proven himself . Well last night 7 pts plus 5 assists =17 points all up conrtibuted to the team, maybe it just isnt all about how much the player scores, its about how the player distributes the ball, intensity on and off the ball, i dont know bout u guys but it seemed like he caused the ball handlers a bit of trouble when he was gurading them in the second half, and how bout 00000 turnovers, i would definately be playing sutton now, he needs to be developed quickly. Once again, i think boti might have said this ornot but Sutton is a more complete player, better D and better dribble than Ng in my opinion, his offensive abilities have not been displayed yet so icant really comment. Remeber though, defence and hustle wins games and CHAMPIONSHIPS........ MEE????? best defensive guard when we had him and we were flying. So in my honest opinion, i can definately see Sutton as our starting POINT gurad in a few years and this will allow Maher to play his natural spot a SHOOTING guard. BRING IT ON BREAKERSSSSSSSS NEXT THURSDAY ON FOX YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
