Based on the minor round and form going into the finals, can I tip the following season winners:

Boys:
U12: D1: Sturt. D2: Centrals. D3: Western
U14: D1: Sturt. D2: Cougars. D3: North
U16: D1: Sturt. D2: Cougars. D3: North
U18: D1: Sturt. D2: Sturt. D3: North
U20: D1: Sturt.

Sturt in a clean sweep of Div 1.

Girls:
U12: D1: North. D2: Eagles. D3: Eagles
U14: D1: Eagles. D2: Sturt. D3: Sturt
U16: D1: Mavs. D2: Eagles. D3: Western
U18: D1: Eagles. D2: Sturt. D3: Eagles
U21: D1: West

Must be something in the water around Forestville.

Flames conspicuous by the absence.

re: Junior Finals - Tips? (#202484 | Grrr!)

Sorry guys, didn't look at U10's

With the U20 Men. I think it will be a Sturt-Norwood GF. My predictor model says 56:54 Sturt. Tigers to be the unlucky ones....

Sturt appear to have a better defence and this is the pressure they place on teams. Norwood seem to rely on scoring to place scoreboard pressure on teams. Based on this, IMO a team who likes to bottle things up defensively will always beat a team that relies on high scoring. Teams that expect a higher score place themselves under more pressure when they can't score and so tend to take more risk, thus more turnovers. They look at the scoreboard and the little guy in their head says "we should have scored more by now". A team who focuses on preventing scoring and scores off their opportunities says "hey, we're doing better than we expected"

It will be a tight GF, but I reckon the cup will head to the leafy middle class Sturt, unless one of the Norwood boys takes inspiration from Andrew Webber.
