Havent seen athol out there for a while he was a funny guy i have alot of good memorys of my under 16s days .............

I really doubt glen shaw has been sacked why would he get sacked coz the team is under achiveing the team is needs alot of work and centrals no this .... there was no way glen was going to come and we would have a finals team ... he is doing a good job so far ....if centrals have done this they need there head read

Glen Shaw is one of the best bball coaches going around and centrals would be crazy to sack him on the other hand the way some of those centrals parents have treated and talked to him I would'nt be surprised if he quits as JDO. Some people don't know when they are on a good thing.

Well it wouldn't be the first time Centrals have sacked a senior coach in an indiscriminate manner.

But until it becomes official I would like to give the club the benefit of the doubt that he is still in the job.

My mate Paul was coached by him, I didn't like they way he spoke to his players or his basketball philosophies he tried to implement on the court. Yes I do have basketball credibility and no I didn't play for centrals. So I can compare him to other coaches in the same situation.

I can confirm that I will most definately be on the sidelines this saturday at hillcrest and I would never leave a team halfway through the season. As for the rest of my job at Centrals I will not comment until I get back from holidays after my wedding in 2 weeks. See you at Hillcrest on Saturday

bizzy phil played 16's at woodville so he couldn't of been coached by athol
Athol had his faults but he also had his positives that not many people would know, like he always pushed his players towards sasi no other coaches do/did in the club and the team always improved as a playing group and individually.
Athol will only be remembed for his sideline outburst though

Maybe not Forbes 500, I would love to stay with the club I will meet with the president after holidays on the 9th of May

Just me, I was playing 20's with Phil and I played 16's with Athol - in my 16's team I had Ryan Pursche, Shane Bros etc.

From my observations Glenn is a great coach. Centrals still need a JDO though.
