DT Tip Jam - #1 play in the WORLD

So, I happened to come across a show titled FIBA World Basketball on the tv here in London the other day, it was actually a pretty good round up of the world of basketball, as comprehensive as one can expect from 30 minutes.

There was a story on Jordan's 2 sons who are currenly making waves in high school ball, plenty of footage of them playing in a high school gym with only a handful of spectators, including dad who was riding the refs from the sidelines! (intimidating much?).

Anyway, towards the end I was delighted to see a few minutes devoted to the NBL, they showed highlights of the Tigers Dragons game, including a few Joe Ingles moves, then gave us the current ladder. The whole world could see how far the Sixers are off the pace.

To round out the show they did a top 5 plays of the week. For the WHOLE WORLD. A pretty tough ask for mine. There were a few European plays to get the ball rolling, then at number three came a Matt Shanahan round the back pass to Rosell Ellis for the dunk. Matt Shanahan! Dwyane Wade made it in at number 2 with the nasty dunk through traffic, and then, at number 1, was the Tigers' Dave Thomas with the tip jam over the Dragons. That's right, our electrifying little league down under is making waves on a global scale baby.

The pride of it all.

Yeah - "FIBA Slam Basketball" used to be on SBS weekly about a decade back but SBS dropped it for whateverf reason... Pity it was probably the best magazine style Bball show i have seen...
