Moses posted it in another Gilbert thread, but it is a bit funny anyway and worth being seen by more people.
Man that guy is arrogant - but that is some impressive one hand shooting!

If everyone can last one day without making a joke about "one handed shooting", you can all have an early minute and a gold star.

There's a few lines on Gilbert's blog about shooting comp's
I've been making bets around the team because there's a couple guys on this team that said they're better shooters from the college three-point line than me.
One of them, Roger Mason, what he did was reasonable.
He made 81 out of 100 from the college three.
You know, I went and I don't know how many I would have made out of 100.
I stopped at 82 and walked out of the gym. So I won that bet, but we wasn't betting for money (wink, wink).
I blew him out. He was like a high school player compared to my shooting.
I told him needs to shoot at least 10,000 more shots to compete with me.
I even shot a couple one-handed. I shot the last three to win it with one hand.
He was disappointed. Actually, he was really upset because I was bragging the whole time during it, and I've been bragging the last two weeks.
I think because in practice the day before he was shooting from the three-point line 54-for-60 so everybody was like a big, "Oooooh, ahhhhhh" about it.
All of them Caron, DeShawn, Calvin they was all with him.
And they all got bar-bee-quuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeedd, ye-yeah!
Then there was a sidekick of his, DeShawn Stevenson. I told him that I'd shoot with one-hand from college three better than he can shoot with both hands from NBA three.
He really doesn't want to make that bet. He keeps brushing it off.
With one ball and one rebounder a good shooter (ie not too mnay long rebounds) will normally get up around 100 or 105 3pt shots in the 7 minute drill (about 15 per min).
If Darren made 93 as another thread suggests then he probably shot at near 90%.

I thought it was funny to see that the same shit Gilbert was doing is what plenty of my team mates have done in the past. I don't think it was arrogant at all, some of the funniest times at practice are when you're going against someone in a shooting comp and you're trying to put shooters off.

Fosbury, I hardly believe he made 97 out of 100 3-pointers in year twelve! If you are right then good on him but that seems near impossible for anyone playing in Australia to me.

Yeah I found it odd too but he was adamant that it happened.

VC fan, why is it hard to believe an Australian could shoot like that??

I once read a story about Marcioulonis (spelling??) being scouted when he a player in the old USSR. He was shown where the NBA three point line was by the scout, so he stepped back and knocked 89 out of 100.

And I bet you A.Gaze would have a story like that as well.....
