Former Celtic Dennis Johnson Dead at 52

One of the members of the legendary 1986 Boston Celtics, former NBA Finals MVP Dennis Johnson died today at age 52.

Sad day - he was one of the great defensive guards ever and a flat out winner. Larry Bird once called DJ "the best player I ever played with". 52 is way too young.

Vale, DJ.

Had some amazing defensive plays in his time that made him one of the faces of the 80's Celts... In fact for me after Bird he was the 2nd most dramatic (and recognisable) player on those teams in terms of memorable plays...

RIP D.J.
