Gordon, Gordon, Gordon, no wonder you went to jail in Wall Street.

Profits are not profits and losses are not losses until such time as you sell.

Put another way if the market for the year was up 22% yesterday, and after today its only up 19% (after a fall of 3% today ), doesn't that actually mean we are all still much better off than we were 12 months ago?

You are clearly a half empty person and need some real financial advice.

FIJI I have some resource stocks with CFDs and also a margin loan.

Im expecting margin calls very soon. So yes, I have lost money thanks for the personal insults that just caps things off.

Gordon, invest in property and you do not have to worry about margin calls.... also the power of leverage with property is fantastic.

Gotta love this forum. We have experts on everything from legal matters (Shapelle Corby) to christmas presents and now the financial markets. Not to mention every other sport other than basketball.
