Fact - teams not being axed, players leaving club
Fact - skill doesn't matter its who you know and if the coach likes you.
Fact - suck up to the right people your kid gets everywhere
Fact - become a team manager, your kid will play Div 1, maybe ABA (LOL)
Fact - whinge in the coaches ear or write letters to the committee
Fact - height outways skill
Fact - Been there done that - glad to be at North Adelaide - the superior club around.

God SA basketballers suck.
Yesterday it was Southern and Mavericks getting mean and nasty and innuendos and accusations proven wrong, and now another thread started by an inflammatory question leading to more crap and garbage spewing forth!
Get on the phone and sort it out person to person and stop trying to air supposed dirty laundry.

123592 & 123597 The sad FACT is if NOBODY CARES then basketball and all the people who want to play it suffer, you cretins.

How dissapointing is this club?... They are located in the fastest growing area in the greater Adelaide area and can't fill junior or senior teams for that matter.
Do the powers that administer BB in SA need to step in and show them how to run a junior program? (or dont they have a clue either?)
Lions administration need to have a good hard look at themselves.... Best facilities, huge catchment and no players? Heads must roll!

if feel sorry for the people who dug deep into their own pockets to keep the club afloat, they must be think what a waste of money it was as the club doesn't seem to want to stop the bleeding.

All SA should be hoping that Centrals can quickly get on track as we need a viable and tougher centrals to lift the comp. C'mon centrals , get it together.

In the past they have paid either in full or part of wages for some one to be jdo at that club. Sadly like most people they were forced out of the club.

I have just noticed that centrals under 16 boys div 4 team seems to have pulled out as well. Can anyone confirm. If boys aren't happy there, where are they going or are they just giving up basketball. If a team is pulled out, and the boy still wants to play, can he get an immediate transfer and play in another club, this season, as I know of teams short on players

(#123663)No you are wrong....soooo wrong. We dont need a rejuvinated centrals in the comp. What we need is for the club to be wiped and started from scratch. I am all for giving chances and the benifit of dought, but this club has under achieved for so many years it is not funny.
BSA, take controll of this club and wind it up so at least every other team does not have to second guess if it is worth the risk of travelling out to Gawler for a bye.

Smart - axe a club in the fastest growing demographics in the state. Axe a club with the best facilities in the state. I think what BASA needs to do is be smart. Understand times have rapidly changed. Population growth is happening in regional, outer suburbs at a rate of never before. U10/U12 parents are not prepared to travel up to 2 hours on a saturday for a basketball game. Regionalise the competition and numbers will prosper.
