Spadavecchia Round 1 Player of the Week?

Looking at all the game stats, I think the Bearcats Anthony Spadavecchia should be crowned ABL Men's Player of the Week.

In his first ever start and up against NBLers Burdon and Zorich, he amassed 20 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.

Surely the biggest off season improvement to date, the Academy must have really helped him!

Kane Oakley, 19pts, 18 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 assists. He'd have to up there.

POTW Selector,
I hate to be a wet blanket on this but I can't allow player of the week honours to go to an individual whose team registered a loss (Zorich), even if they are shared.

For me the players most worthy would be Clayton or Spadavecchia, both of whom were part of winning teams.

Zorich waqs 3ast off a triple double. Hence why he shares the player of the week honors. Stats or no stats the word from the game is that he had his hand in most things north did that night.

Spadavecchia is also a worthy applicant as he went 20pts, 6rbs and 8ast. For a young guard to complete this in little time is impressive.

I don't think that player of the week has to go to a player in a team that wins.

Eg.

Player A 50pts, 10rbs, 6ast
vs
Player B 25pts, 10rbs, 6ast

Player B Team wins

Who gets the award.

Is either of them Chris Anstey and is the decision being made by the NBL?

Very good question isaac

Player B is Antsey and its no longer a question of who is player of the week as its being picked by the NBL

Its a no brainer

Justin Clayton for me, I reckon. The guy was the only big man for the Lions and they won. That means he would've had his work cut out defensively but still managed to hit 26pts at above 50%. He dominated the boards.

C'mon you dingbats see the light and use your heads.

If you were at the game you would picked Spud as player of the week. Even though Spuds stats were great, stats arent everything. Especially when the game was on the line in the last 6 minutes Spud was massive. He could have won the award just for his massive block on Tom Rowe (I think) in the first quarter. Massive!!
