NBL Fines Razorbacks

The National Basketball League has fined the West Sydney Razorbacks $2500 for breaching the NBL's rules on Public Criticism following comments made in the media on 14 February 2007.

The NBL Tribunal Appeals Panel ruled that a $5000 fine originally imposed should be reduced to $2500.

The NBL lets cap-busting teams run amok without even making an effort to police the salary cap. They can't catch teams negotiating outside of the free agency period.

Then they pick the wooden spooner who have been struggling with financial problems and battling to put together a competitive side and hit them with a fine.

Lovely.
