Blitz gone?

A reply to a letter from the NBL to a poster on OzHoops.

"All aspects of the NBL calendar are annually reviewed to determine their effectiveness in meeting their objectives. The Blitz is currently under review and there is a chance it might be either suspended or discontinued if it is determined that it is off-strategy for the NBL's goals or that the considerable money it takes to run could be more effectively utilised in other areas of the business (such as marketing, for example).

We hope to announce the full NBL regular season and pre-season schedule in the
near future, so stay tuned."

Interesting...

I spoke to Rick at game 3 of the Bullets/Tigers Game. He said it was likely to be held at Coffs, Cairns or Geelong. No hint of it being canceled.

It would be a MASSIVE shame if this event didnt go ahead :(

It's a legitimate point, though, that the money could be better spent directly on marketing. But then you could say the same about the ASG and so on.
