Woodville Women - New ABL Guard

saw new player last round - costello from sydney - play.

whilst not in the marino / lorenenzini bracket - I thought she dished the ball nicley and looked the goods.
unfortunately a few of the girls she dished off to were not up to completing the shots - but she certainly looks like one of their better pick ups. maybe the best since gates ?

I would say along with Costelo one of there good pick ups would be Brooke Sidebottom 2 seasons ago.

I don't think putting Marino up as a class comparison holds very well. If the lightning are looking at any of these they must have been struck by it.

what i meant was costello would be the best pick up since shannon ran the point a few years ago.

that is assuming gathercole plays 2-3 position.

well perhaps we should let the girl settle in a bit - one great game one shocker - may be woodville should be more faithful to those players that have been around a long time - what a vast improvement the first four games were - there are actually 49 girls that have left woodville in 4 years - wake up guys

14U2nv,
'what a vast improvement' sarcasm no doubt, are you one of the 49 girls who left? what do they have to wake up to?
From afar it seems Woodville are being faithful to their own blooding youngsters who are unfortunately struggling at junior Div 1 level and out of their depth in seniors.

if they can hack it - let them play - if not bide time with the young ones.

everyone is different

Q - exactly how many abl players (at any club) played from u10s - and were they always div 1 players.

maybe better for seniors if they start later - ie erin phillips ??

14u2nv - usually what goes around comes around with players and clubs.

maybe the ones that left were never going to play more than a season??

their div 1 juniors look like the same ones since u10 days - so can not recall any significant people leaving ?

to name a few
Kimberly Porplicia
Shannon Gates
Descinta Cummins
Karen Rockisinki
Trudy Sheffield
Taya Crockford
Tamara Vass
Carolyn Watts
Faith Price

Why did they leave - same reason for all

Crockford a South junior she was.

And Shiefield, a West junior she was.

And while most the others have left, playing 1 season for the next club they did, then quiting was their destiny. It is therefore not likely that playing for Woodville now they would be, if they had of stayed.

Inuendo rather than facts. What is the problem at Woodville in your experience and why will they be the next centrals? Who or what is the problem?
You simply sound bitter with an axe to grind and no clear issues to bring up.
