I noticed last night at the Dome that there was some 3 Person Officiating going on in some games - does anyone know why they are doing that for lower division games??

Practice for ABA games I think
I heard they were running 3 person in Aba full time
The top ref's will have to ref woman and mens games

They are running a full ABA ficture on the 19th May as 3 person and then one round in June.
The referees are only doing one game - they do not have to do both.

I play Div 3 and have once played a game where we had 3 officials. We asked about it and they said it was a part of their training

Most people who bitch about three just don't like having a ref off ball that can catch them out playing dirty.
lets beat the afl at something. I suggest 5 refs so each player is continually watched during the game, but would that mean games could only be played at wayville and pasadena??
div 4 mens game at wayville had 3 refs a couple of weeks back... to tell the truth 5 drunk monkeys could have done it better. if two cant ref properly wat makes them figure three will improve things. we need quality not quantity!
