Sydney Kings to trial imports in Asia

The Sydney Kings will trial two potential imports, both competing for the same position I believe.

They are Wayne Turner and Beau Bauer (6'4", 190 lb combo guard). I think Bauer suspected his basketball days were over after college, but is being pitted against Turner for a chance in the NBL under The Goorj.

Turner previously played with Townsville in around 2002/03 (19.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 5.1 APG). Was released in 03/04... Said to be a bit of a gun, for those that will get the joke. ;)

How can sydney afford these players they must be over the sallary cap. why dont they get pulled up 4 it like the sixers did

Afford what players? A college guy we've never heard of before?

If you wanted all teams over the cap to get pulled up, there wouldn't be many teams left untouched IMO.

Do you reckon the kings could go with both, if they both impress in China and run with a team like
PG Turner/Kendall
SG Bauer/Smith/Carter
SF Saville/Tovey
PF Worthington
C Crosswhite/Hinder
I reckon that would be ok, especially given the kings lack of success finding import bigs in recent times and the fact the nbl is a smaller league anyway.
It would be great to see Turner back in the league he was great with the crocs!

Turner was right next to Andy Simmons' jumpshot and Bill Cartwright foul shot in the style books that is for sure
