Remember that when looking at our history of the game, it wasn't about Americans until recently. It was all Europeans that came out, especially in South Australia where they dominated the game for years alongside the likes of Mal and John Heard, and Scott Davie. From memory, it wasn't until 1960 that we made the Olympics.

FYI - Eddie P is in fact Eddie Palubinskas, the Free Throw Master, arguably Australia's greatest player until Andrew Gaze came along.

I remember hearing Forrestville stadium was the first in Australia, built in circa 1932.

No idea if this is true?

If you are looking at concentrating on SA basketball - the late great Merv Harris put a book out which is a fantastic history of SA Basketball. I don't know exactly where you 'd get one but with his assn with NABC, give them a ring.
