After seeing some junior state games, I have noticed that the junior australian state teams generally beat the junior new zealand NATIONAL teams, usually quite comfortably so why is it that our senior NATIONAL team doesnt dominate the Kiwis??

haha i played for the NZ Under 16 Team...generally we lose to ur guys state teams..(this is because states like victoria and nsw are bigger than NZ in terms of popualtion)The other big reason to why the nz junior under 16 and 18 teams always lose to ur state teams is because the selectors and coaches are very undecisive and always choose the wrong types of players..The reason the NZ Senior team puts up a good fight against ur national team is because we have alot of international players such as Casey frank..um Lindsay Tait was born in aussie..mika vikuna was born in fiji. Also the senior team gets alot of funding and coaching while the junior teams(nz under 16/18 dont train together.When they arrive at the tournament they havent had a chance to train together.They usually lack team chemistry! In seniors lately, Aussies have had average backcourts with no one who could guard Jones or Penney,
