no good

Its bullshit that the Rockets have to play last years champions first up. A wildcard should be ranked 8th and therefore should be playing last years champions who would be ranked 1st. Every year our conference gets the wrong team first up...the system is rigged! The standings from last year would have the conferences ranked like this 1. Seabl (East), 2. Big V, 3.Seabl (south), 4. QABL, 5. Central ABL, 6. Waratah, 7. Wildcard, 8. Wilcard.

This means in the quarter finals 4th ranked should play 5th ranked which is QABL vs Central.

Geelong and Dandenong (last years nationals grand finalists) should be playing wildcards!

At the end of the day, you have to be capable of beating all others to win - so whether North play Geelong first game up or a different draw would have seen them probably play then in a week's time, it makes no difference - you want to be the best, you have to beat them sometime - so lets hope the Rockets can do that next week.
Seen Geelong play twice this season - they are a standout well drilled, well skilled team, fast paced game and a deep deep bench. Would be worth the trip to Geelong to see as IMO if North bring their A game to play next week, it should be an interesting matchup.

Are they not making the guys and girls games a double header? Wouldnt that be more appropriate to get crowds there? Anyone know what time the Wayville game will be?

Its more a matter of player availability and confidence. Any SEABL side would like their player list to read like Norths. Import, height, NBL experience, pace, deep list; what more could you want? If they present a sober full list and have a red hot dip, they may well take a bigger tittle.

Play it at port
Years ago

Why is West vs Ballarat at Wayville. Obviously seating would be one reason but playing the game at Wayvill lessens the home court advantage. Many of the Ballarat girls would have played there before in WNBL or junior nationals. The Westies girls would have a heaps bigger advantage at Port - the famialiarity of the floors and rings will help them a lot, and may unsettle the Miners. Not to mention the pissed morons on the balcony. I say play it at the Port - they earnt home court advantage so use it. Plus I think it would be a great atmosphere if it was packed. I also think it would be surprising how many you could fit in there.

why play at Port when the shot clock and clock malfunctioned last time.

Least at Wayville all we have is the shot clock resetting if the bell is used but at least the equipment works and you won't have people asking for money back after the game cause the scoreboard doesn't work.

Forestville must be running short of cash if they get to keep the bar and canteen profits for the night. Not bad when they have no teams playing

Considering it will be Forstville's food and drink being sold, of course they will want to take the pfofits!
