Next years ABL teams

With the talk about many leaving Southern and Bizzy confirming Mapunda is going back to North, does anyone know of any other player movement?
I have heard Gerlach will land at Forestville, but is there any other rumors/facts around?

All I can say is that the league will be dominated by the five finals teams from this year. The gap between the rest will get even bigger next year.

Yeah the salary cap has helped this happen we need imports to make it a good league again.

The big difference between the top sides and the rest is their depth. They can cover injuries and unavailable players with others that can make a contribution.

Whether we have a salary cap or not, imports will be on mates' rates - they are not going to play in our league for the money.

Matthews at Sturt??

If that is the case, they become automatic premiership contenders and Norwood will drop down to at least fifth behind North, FVille, Sturt and West.

I think you would find if Lalic went to Forestville he would start ahead of Hoban.

Informer i don't think so! Lalic will not be at Forestville. Trust me, they are not going to need him!

Hoban would start ahead of Lalic everyday of the week, and Dougie would come off the bench before Lalic everyday of the week, so unless Oakley does not play there is no room for Lalic at the Eagles!

Gerlach at Forestville, does anyone have some further information on this?

Yeah my bad anon, I would much rather Hoban bringing in 8 points and 5 rebounds than Lalic's 15 points and almost 9 rebounds a game...what was I thinking!!!

I agree that Hoban is a better choice than Lalic. Hoban would get those numbers easily if he played for the tigers. And I can't see anyone taking Dougies sixth man spot.

Lalic will be with tigers next year. He is the sort of person who would much rather play alot of minutes and lose, than to play a role and win!

Matthews at Sturt is highly laughable. What is one reason why he would leave all his mates and Norwood and go to a Sturt team that has no one that he has played with before? He has been at Norwood now for countless years, good relationships, good team and gets on well with the coach. It certainly wouldnt be for the money!

T Matthews would be the sort of player the Pioneers are looking for, team person, can score, can run the floor, can hassle and is quick. But if any truth in this rumour, he would want to do some serious background.
