Funny Tonight - 36ers vs Crocodiles

What are your tips for tonight's game? I'm looking for Chappell to continue his good form from New Zealand and Brett to have a blinder. We need Ng, Sutts and Copes to step up with the absence of Davidson. Watch out for Homicide Williams, I reckon he's gonna be one dangerous dude.

The Sixers haven't exactly been reliable to date, at the game is at "The Swamp", one of the toughest venues to play at. On the other hand, Townsville have a 1-5 record and don't seem to have a great roster. I'll say Sixers to get up by 10 but Rillie to turn it on with his new mohawk.

Even with Davidson out, I think we SHOULD win.

If we don't win though, we go to Sydney on Wednesday, and I've seen the Kings three times so far this year, and they've given me no reason to think that we can beat them. So it could very easily be a 2-5 start to the year.

Tonight's game is the first must-win of our season.

That said, Crocs by 5.

Both teams will be desperate for a win. Should be a close one. I think Adelaide should win it in the end. They just can't let Townsville get ahead. I think Maher will be the key, if he scores 25+ again, win to Adelaide. I don't think Cooper is looking that good for Adelaide, I hope they play more Mottram.

They need collage players, young good players who will represent the team with pride, not players like dench and copes who are playing to make money and little else. We need players who are willing to sacrifice money to play for a team with history, a team which used to have pride. We need to start to build a new core of younger players, younger players who are ready to play, not NG and Sutton who appear to be role players and nothing more.

We have tried new players, and things haven't changed, maybe try something new and lets change the coach and see if things improve. Obviously sh*t ain't working at the moment. Screw 'gelling' these guys are professional players, they should of 'gelled' by now.

Its been a disgraceful week for the 36ers but then again this week has been a really weird one across the whole league. Who would have predicted the Bullets losing at home to the Kings (or anyone for that matter), who would have predicted the Razorbacks to beat the Kings, who would have predicted the Dragons to go down by only 1 point to the Bullets, who would have predicted the 36ers to lose all their road games this week against some of the lower teams in the league? When Chappell played so well against New Zealand I was confident he had made a good comeback. That has now served to our detriment, because even with a great performance like that, we still lose games against weak teams. Apart from Davidson still to come back, we have exhausted all our lifelines.

Was at the game, refereeing was pretty even bad calls both ways but not one sided. Your boys were tired and lacked the on court leadership and ball control Brad would have provided.

Brett did well but is getting old and can't carry the team forever, Crocs defence was very good especially Galen on Ballinger, the only time he got points was when Galen was on the bench. IMO Sutton, Ng and Burdon shouldn't have more than 12 mins between them, Sutton played very average, Ng had a bad night and Burdon is just bad. Cooper and Mottram couldn't do much at either end and Copeland is old and disinterested, Dench although didn't show much heart actually played quite well towards the end. I was expecting a lot more from Chappel after the NZ game but he didn't deliver and is a dead weight you need to cut loose.

Unless a lot of players decide they don't want to keep losing and step up I don't see a good year for 36ers fans, you need to bring back that great local talent you have let slip away in Holmes, Forman, Ingles, Newley, Hill and I've probably missed out a few others. Maybe Smyth still has it but I think you have to be looking at Ninnis as the future to turn the club around from recent bad form.
